To start from the beginning you should know Melodee and I have 3 ministries we are involved with; a personal ministry, a church ministry, and a motorcycle ministry.  Mike On A Bike Inc is our personal ministry.  Parkway Baptist Church is our church ministry, and we support several motorcycle ministry.

Hi I am Michael Madison, founder of Mike On A Bike Inc. I'm so glad you have taken the time to check out the Mike On A Bike website and are investigating my personal page on our site.  I am truely blessed to have you here.

I'm a retired IT professional who entered the world of computers in 1987. Ya, way back in a time when Bill Gates, Steven Jobs & Steve Wasniak were changing our world.  WOW, what an exciting time it was!

 

I made too many mistakes and sins that I should have never been forgiven of, but by GRACE I live not my past but my future.

 To keep all of this short in introduction style here is a nutshell of the Mike On A Bike mission.  Jesus final commandments to us is clear; We are to "love" one another and we are to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ through the Word of God.  Let me always be found with a Bible at hand.  Let every action people see a clear vision of the Love of Christ.

This website has been created to share the love of Jesus, and to be a source of information about Mike On A Bike and Mike On A Bike Inc and my wife, Melodee.  Through this website you will get to know what Mike On A Bike Inc is all about and importantly; about my wife and Me.  With website will serve as a guide to every Mike On A Bike.   Here you will; learn what we are all about, how we help those in our community, how you can be a part of the help and support in Polk Country, and Lakeland, Florida, and a complete calendar of event.

Our personal ministry;

I believe that because God created me, and gave me life 24x7, I should give as much of that time back to Him as possible.  I am happier today than any other time in my life.  God has given me a lot.   And I am grateful.  I can truly tell you that you can not out give God.

I have to be honest and transparent here.  I did not pray enough about beginning a personal ministry.  I leaped out, with a lot of thought but very little praying.  Even worse, I was not in tune with the Holy Spirit's leading.   I was kind of tone-deaf to it.  There were many missteps in the beginning.  My plan was moving forward but not sure it was getting any where.

But it was slowly gaining ground.  In the long run, God took my plan made mostly without talking to Him, and made it His plan .  With His plan cam made many "redirections & changes" to my plans.  I try each and every day to ask; "Where I should go, and what I should do?"

When I ride alone it is very easy to let the Spirit lead my way.  I start out with my own idea of were to ride and I head out.  Once on the road, I take a few minutes to just soak in the wind in my face, the vibration of the road, and the sound of the bike below me.

( It is NOT a contest because, after all everything is God's to begin with. )  Seems, the more I realize the blessings Melodee and I have, the more I know I can give to others.   I often say, "God blesses us, so we can bless others."

 One of the little booklets I purchase once to give away was a $2.99 book entitled, "Rethinking Retirement".  One of the best booklets I have ever read.  I would encourage anyone retired or close to retirement to read this booklet. 

Our church ministry;

We are members of Parkway Baptist Church, 4210 Lakeland Highlands Rd, Lakeland, FL 33813.  Melodee and I try our best to be a complement to staff and members of Parkway.  We have had a season of volunteering, and hope that one day we will once again return to providing our church more of our servant hood within our church.
